GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES
Good Manufacturing Practices(GMP) control and manage the manufacturing and Quality System of pharmaceutical products including medical devices and food products. The current Good manufacturing practices(cGMP) are defined under Food Drug and Cosmetic Act Quality System (also referred as QS).They set forth the quality system for domestic or foreign manufacturers for the design, manufacture, packaging, labeling, storage, installation, and servicing of finished medical devices that are ready to get commercialized. GMP principles are stated in two directives, Directive 2003/94/EC for investigatory medicinal products for human use and Directive 91/412/EEC for veterinary medicinal products.
